Plastic surgery on young womanA study by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery says that doctors saw a 58% increase in cosmetic procedures in people 30 and under.  Why? Mostly because of social, professional and cultural pressures.  Last year, according to the survey, 60% of facelifts were performed on individuals between ages 30-60.  Because of advanced technology, procedures are more discreet in showing scarring and recovery time is shorter.  Patients are able to return to work quicker.

Dr. Sam Rizk, a New York plastic surgeon, is using innovative technology to perform a rapid recovery facelift procedure that cuts traditional recovery time in half.  The recovery period is generally one week. When done on younger patients, partial facelifts lasts longer because the skin tissue is stronger.  This procedure generates less bruising, swelling and scarring.
